Choose the right post for your lathe with the Simple Woodturning Tools Adjustable Tool Rest Post. Available in multiple diameters and lengths, these posts let you configure your adjustable tool rest to fit your machine.

Whether you're replacing an existing post or setting up an adjustable tool rest for a larger lathe, you can select the size that matches your lathe's banjo and your preferred working height.

Each post includes a locking collar, quick-adjust height spacers, a fastener, and two wrenches. The locking collar helps maintain the post's height while you adjust the banjo, and the quick-adjust spacers make it easier to quickly adjust your rest for different tool heights.

The wrench flats on the post provide additional leverage when tightening or loosening the assembly.

Available Post Sizes

  • 5/8" × 4" — For lathes that accept a 5/8" post.

  • 1" × 4.5" — For lathes that accept a 1" post.

  • 1" × 6.25" — A longer post option for lathes requiring additional post length.

  • 1" × 7.375" — Our new extra-long post option, designed for larger lathes such as the Grizzly G0766 and Harvey T-60 Turbo.

Please Note: This listing is for the post assembly only. The Adjustable Tool Rest Platform is sold separately. Before ordering, verify that the post diameter fits your lathe's banjo and that the post length suits your setup.

When will my order ship?

  • We ship as soon as possible - most of the time within 24 hours of order placement. (Orders placed on Friday after 10am CST, Saturday or Sunday will ship Monday)
  • You will receive an e-mail with tracking from us when your order ships.
  • All orders ship from Ramsey, Minnesota.
  • ALL orders shipped through the USPS are not guaranteed to be delivered within the window that they promise. The USPS does not offer guaranteed delivery on Priority Mail packages, so we will not issue postage/shipping refunds if they do not deliver on time.   • International orders: Shipping cost will be calculated during checkout and will NOT include your local duty and/or customs fees. If you choose UPS, they will not deliver until these duty/taxes are paid.

I'm a local customer, can I pick up my order?

  • Yes you can. We just need time to pack your order. Please place your order online and add notes during checkout that you want to pick up the order. Usually pickup orders are ready the next day. Orders placed before 10am CST may be ready the same day. We will contact you when ready.
  • Our pickup hours are Mon-Thurs 8:30 am - 4:00 pm. Friday 8:30 am - Noon. 
  • Pickup Address: 7101 143rd Ave NW Suite O Ramsey. We are in the Energy Business Park located just off Highway 10. Please look for 'Harrison Specialties' on the sign outside the front door.
