Glue Hub Features:

- We always recommend using tailstock support as much as possible when turning. This can be done with a live tailstock chuck and a center point.

Hardwood Waste Block:
- Arrives pre-glued to hub using clear Gorilla glue.
- Routered from kiln dried hard maple.
- 2.5" diameter x 1.5" long
- Milled pocket is 0.50" deep, so your glue hub sits inside the waste block 0.50".
- Once your original waste block becomes 1" long, we suggest that you add additional fine-grained hardwood, such as hard maple, to the waste block. This will allow you to separate your project without consuming the original waste block.
This CNC routered blank from kiln-dried hardwoods with routered design for epoxy resin will make a very unique finished hybrid bowl approximately 6.25" wide and 2.75" - 3" tall. *Images displayed are meant to illustrate the finished product; the actual wood grain and coloration may vary. It's up to you to decide what color resin to use.
About this unique blank:
- This segmented turning blank can be used to craft a beautiful hybrid bowl worthy of admiration and gifting. These segments feature wavy lines, not straight lines.
- The routered design is a 3/8" slot x 1.75" deep and can be filled with about 8 oz of your epoxy resin-based mixture, colored to your preferred hue. This can be put into a pressure pot, although satisfactory results have been achieved without one.
- The great advantage of a segmented wood blank like this is that open end grain is absent, allowing for straightforward and exciting turning.
- This bowl-turning blank is crafted with only the finest hand-picked, kilned hardwoods for superior results. Achieve the best results with sharp tools when working with dry woods & epoxy resin. We suggest Acrylic/Resin tools such as this kit when turning this project.
- Each section is precisely cut with our CNC router in-house. These blanks arrive to you already round, so there's no roughing!
- We securely connected all sections, including the center ring, using a strong Titebond II adhesive.
- The center ring has been pre-marked with a center point, providing an easy reference for tailstock centering when mounting the project.
- Hollowing these is a breeze since the center is partially hollowed already!
- SPECIAL NOTE: We do NOT recommend urethane resins. We only use and have tested epoxy resin (we use Total Boat tabletop eopxy, however there are others).
